UFC Fight Night: Silva v. Bisping Predictions

It's finally here folks. A fight that thousands...wait no...how about hundreds?...dozens?...OK it was just me. I called for this fight. Anybody who has listened to It's MMAzing Radio in the past 4 years (anniversary coming up) knows that I've always wanted to see Anderson v. Bisping. So if nothing else, I'm going to be happy. Also on this card we got Sweet 'n Sassy Gegard Mousasi (tip of the cap to the Co-Main Event Podcast) versus Thales Leites. There is also a blue chip prospect and a fun bantamweight brawl to look forward to. Not bad for a Saturday morning card. Check out our picks below.

UFC Fight Night 83: Cowboy vs. Cowboy Predictions

We have ourselves a cowboy off!  This card has suffered through a lot of changes and on paper this is one of the UFC's weaker cards in the last six months.  It's rare when Bellator and the UFC have cards on the same weekend.  It's even rarer when the Bellator card arguably has more juice and heat behind it (in terms of name value....definitely not pedigree and skill)  so I am actually much more interested in catching Bellator on Friday than this Sunday card.  But it's not like there football anymore so I'll have my butt parked in front of the TV to watch I guess.

Bellator 149: Shamrock vs. Gracie 3 Predictions

This is what I get for opening my big mouth.  On the podcast I joked a bit too much that we should do predictions article not expecting it to be me.  The irony behind me writing the first(?) Bellator predictions article is I have made fun of Bellator the most from the four of us.  Not DJ Mark, who used to do the critically acclaimed "Bellator minute", but Lavender Gooms, who used to think that minute was 30 seconds too long.  But no longer! Bellator under the guidance of Larry Coker is on the rise as a organization.  They've done away with the season/tournament format, signed a top 5 lightweight in Benson Henderson, and their recent events have brought eyeballs(even if they do lean on the side of being freak-showish)

It's MMAzing Radio - Episode 170

The gang deals with crappy ISPs and crappy health all while breaking down the results of UFC Fight Night Hendricks v. Thompson. The gang also discusses Roy Nelson, Joseph Benavidez and OSP's respective wins at this past Saturday's event. Next, they spend WAY too much time previewing Bellator 149 and the potentially disastrous fights between Gracie & Shamrock and Kimbo Slice & DADA 5000. All that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."

UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson Predictions

If you haven't been keeping up with the MMA landscape you might be a little confused about what you're seeing right now. Wasn't Cain Velasquez suppose to get his rematch with Fabricio Werdum? Yes, this was true, but Cain suffered a back injury and had to pull out of fight. You may be asking, well couldn't they find someone to fight Werdum in Cain's place (great idea by the way, you're really on top of things today). They tried to match up Stipe Miocic with Werdum, but it turned out Werdum was injured himself this whole time and wasn't going to say anything...well until he found out Cain was also injured. With no main event it was the UFC that had to do some shuffling this weekend and now we're getting a pretty decent card on Fox Sports 1. Headlining is a really interesting fight between former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks and rising star Stephen Thompson. We also get to see a couple of the big boys tussle when Roy Nelson throws down with Jared Rosholt.
