The gang breaks down their trip to Bellator Dynamite 1 (why would you number the first one?) and try to make sense of what they witnessed. They discuss Liam McGeary's big win over Tito Ortiz along with Phil Davis's dominance of the light heavyweight tournament. They also discuss the strange events that led to former Pride boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara and Fedor Emelianenko being in the cage. The gang also discusses the latest with the #FreeNickDiaz movement along with Jon Jones possible return to the cage. They also preview UFC Fight Night: Barnett v. Nelson. The gang is all riled up and spends the great majority of this podcast talking about the injustice that happened in the Nick Diaz NSAC hearing. Seriously? Five years for weed? The Nevada State Athletic Commission and its commissioners should be ashamed of themselves. They also discuss the results from this past weekend's Invicta card and preview the huge (by Bellator standards) Bellator Dynamite show. All that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."

The gang celebrates Labor Day by discussing Mighty Mouse Johnson's dominant victory over John Dodson at UFC 191. They discuss the champ's future at 125 pounds (or possibly 135 pounds) and why he gets more flack than any other champion for his low PPV numbers. The gang also discusses the miserable Arlovski v. Mir fight and try to get excited for the possibility of Arlovski v. Fedor. They also talk about the remainder of the card including Rumble Johnson's victory and Raquel Pennington's gritty performance. All that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."

If someone asks you who is the best pound for pound fighter in the world, the answer is Jon Jones. If someone asks you which ACTIVE fighter is the best pound for pound fighter in the world, the answer is either Demetrious Johnson or Jose Aldo. The sad thing is that Johnson does not get nearly the attention he deserves. Possibly being the baddest man on the planet isn't enough to get people to tune in, but it's their loss. Mighty Mouse's fights are must watch for me and the possibility of him facing an actual threat (as he is facing in this fight) only adds to excitement. Johnson v. Dodson II is the fight we've been waiting for in this division, but will it live up?
UFC Flyweight Championship
Demetrious Johnson (c) v. John Dodson
Finally, a legitimate challenge for Mighty Mouse. I don't buy it. Those of us who watched the first contest between Johnson and Dodson saw a hell of a fight between two of the three best flyweights in the world (I got Benavidez at #2). What we also saw was Mighty Mouse Johnson absolutely figuring out John Dodson's game during the last 3 rounds of the fight. Dodson is a head hunter and is possibly the fastest guy in the UFC. Unfortunately for him, Mighty Mouse learned his timing. Additionally, Dodson tends to fade as the fight goes on and Johnson's cardio is on a different planet. This fight will not be as competitive as the first, but you still get to see arguably the best fighter in the world work. Johnson by 4th round submission.
Picking Mighty Mouse: All of us
Picking Dodson: "uneducated fools"

The gang returns to preview UFC 191: Mighty Mouse v. The Magician II (this makes it sound like a video game fight). Before that, they recap Bellator (insert number here): Guillard v. Guy who beat Guillard. They also discuss the ADCC results so they can hold onto the coveted grappling nerd demographic. The gang then discusses Johnson v. Dodson and what it would take for Dodson to win. They also predict Mir v. Arlovski (we all win this one) and the rest of the UFC 191 card. All of that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."
