The gang gives their opinion on the UFC's new strategy of "get as much money as fast as humanly possible." They then preview the TUF Latina America 3 Finale without discussing TUF at all. The gang focuses their attention of Ferguson v. RDA and the debuts of Held & Grasso. All that and a very NXT-heavy edition of "Stuff We Like."

The gang discusses the wave of UFC layoffs and lack of public comment from WME-IMG. They discuss where they expect the UFC to be in the next year or so. The gang also discusses this past week's Bellator event including the ridiculous debate between Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen. They then discuss Urijah Faber's upcoming retirement fight against Brad Pickett at UFC on Fox in Sacramento. All that and a very Luke Cage & WWE 2K17-centric edition of "Stuff We Like."

The gang spends the better part of the show discussing Georges St-Pierre's upcoming legal battle with the UFC (we're all #TeamGSP obviously). They then discuss the return of Ms. Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 and how they feel she will fair against Amanda Nunes. The gang then discusses Conor McGregor's ridiculous fine from the NSAC and his declaration that he will no long fight in the state of Nevada. All that and another edition of "Stuff We Like."

The gang then talks about the legendary career of Dan Henderson as Hendo calls it a career at age 46 (good lord). They discuss their favorite Hendo moments and say goodbye to a true legend. The gang talks about the rest of the card before discussing the ridiculous McGregor-NSAC hearing. They then say goodbye to Josh Samman as his life was tragically cut short. UFC 204: Bisping vs Henderson Picks and Predictions

Do you remember the seminal moment that was UFC 100? Because the UFC sure hopes you do. It is late 2016 and TUF 9 and the Revolutionary War never ended. Looks like we're going to run back "the punch heard 'round the world." How perfect the stage has set up that Michael Bisping, the unexpected king, would have such an unusual and unexpected first title defense. Words like "deserving" or "next in line" get thrown in this scenario, but it is tough to find too many people who aren't top 5 middleweights themselves who it seems to matter to one bit. When you're an absolute legend of the sport, and you feature in one of the all time highlights against said champion, curiosity usually prevails because we want to see it again. Will Hendo truly retire even in victory? Will he only come out of retirement to specifically haunt Bisping? Only time will tell. Stipe brought the reverse hometown curse to an end, but can Hendo help light it back up? Meanwhile, contenders will also rise in the MW, LHW, and HW scenes respectively.

Michael Bisping (c) vs Dan Henderson

2016 has been a long and strange year thus far in title pictures. Saying there have been a lot of upsets and titles changing hands would be quite the understatement. Fitting then that a 46 year old man is going to take his proverbial and quite literal swing at it. I'll admit to perennially underrating Michael Bisping, and that is largely due to finding him so unlikeable. But our amigo from the podcast Marc is right on two counts, he's been playing the heel for years intentionally, so why can't I get on board with that? But more importantly, he has been a deeply talented fighter the entirety of his career. None of his losses came to fighters who were not of legit quality, and he'll also not let you forget that his losses have also come to men who may have had questionable "blends" in their system looking back. Look, do I think USADA has had the rest of the fighters finally come back down to Bisping's level? Sure. Do I think Bisping is the less shop-worn, well conditioned, and better all around fighter? Absolutely. Am I picking Dan Henderson cause of American exceptionalism nonsense and that ridiculous back elbow KO of Hector Lombard? You RED, WHITE, and BLUELIEVE IT! Hendo by KO punch + unnecessary follow up punch.

The gang confronts their new reality as a threesome rather than a foursome and does their best while Lavender Gooms is overseas. They discuss John Lineker and John Dodson's great battle from this past weekend in addition to Cowboy Oliveira's embarrassing display against Will Brooks. They next talk all things UFC 205 including McGregor, Alvarez, Khabib, Stephens (haha) and Aldo. The gang then makes their UFC 204 picks before ending with a Luke Cage-heavy edition of "Stuff We Like."

UFC Fight Night: Dodson v. Lineker Predictions

John Dodson v. John Lineker

I honestly meant it when I said on the podcast that I am more excited for this fight than any fight on UFC 205. That was before McGregor v. Alvarez became official. Even with that news, I think I'm still more excited for this fight. At this point you guys know that I'm all about watching the little guys fight. Add on to that that these two gentleman have dynamite in their fists. Between the two of them they have been in 60 fights and neither has ever been knocked out. That sh*t is going to change on Saturday. I don't see how this thing goes 5 rounds. (I for sure just jinxed it). Dodson is coming off a bantamweight debut where he dusted Manny Gamburyan in 37 seconds while Lineker's last fight had him sending Michael McDonald to the land of wind and ghosts in half a round. They're both very capable of winning this fight and it's a bit strange that we all lined up on the same side of this one. I simply think that Dodson is a more diverse striker and has better movement than Lineker. That being said, if Dodson just stands in front of Lineker, he will have a very bad time. I think Dodson uses his speed and angles to get it done. Dodson by 1st round KO.
